Fit and finish are good expect for small pits at the seam of the casting. Especially on the bottom of the pistol grip. My other one has pits at the casting seam as well. On that one, it's more on the bottom of the trigger guard. They can potentially be anywhere there is a casting seam. I did hear a Ruger Rep. say that "they can get away with less finishing work before applying the Cerakote coat because it covers well." He went on to say "that helps keeps the cost of the revolver down". These pits at the seam are common and they are small and you'll find websites with that complaint. As they are not really that noticeable, I still liked mine enough to buy another. This one is some how blacker in color than my other one. Love that the trigger and hammer are unfinished metal. It shoots great and it's hard to go through your ammo very fast. These days, that is a plus. Better looking than the Rough Rider IMO. I don't like the external safety. It really takes away from the lines and the look of the revolver. Lastly, consider joining the NRA. Protect your rights to buy, own and use firearms. Once that right is gone - there will be no getting it back.
